Autumn Austin
Executive Director
Autumn completed her Bachelor and Master’s degree in business management and administration with a specialty in Marketing from University of Phoenix in 2008/2013. A daily fight with Lupus coupled with her being a wife, mother of 7, grandmother of 4, working a full-time job, holding the Executive Director position with Colors of Lupus Nevada, being a Founder/President of Gamma Pi Rho Lupus Sorority, Inc., and owning her own business are nothing short of amazing, and they make her a “Woman of Worth”.
Autumn was diagnosed with SLE on December 24, 2012, it was her gift from Santa. As a person diagnosed with Lupus, Autumn strives to bring Lupus to the forefront, trying to engage more on a personal level with the Lupus Community as opposed to larger organizations.
Autumn doesn’t look at Lupus as her curse but as her blessing as it allows her to help others through this difficult journey, giving her the title of the “Lupus Guru”. Autumn fights every day, one day at a time!
JJ (Seven) Austin
Asst Executive Director
JJ Austin most commonly known to the Lupus community as “Seven” was born and raised in Compton, CA but relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2009; this move was to restart his life with his soulmate, “Autumn Austin” and bring his businesses to a place that was more feasibly sound and where he could flourish. Seven is a husband, a father to 7, and a grandfather to 6. Seven has beat the odds of succumbing to the streets, he received a full ride football scholarship to Kansas University straight out of high school but obtained his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Phoenix. Seven currently owns 7Days Training (a Basketball and Physical Fitness training business), assists with the daily operations of Crafty Se7en Creations (a custom t-shirt and souvenir company), volunteers as a coach to local AAU Basketball Teams, referees various sporting events, and is very visible in the Lupus Community through Colors of Lupus Nevada; he is his wife’s biggest fan and support system. Needless to say Mr. Austin is very busy but never says “No” when it comes to Lupus Awareness, advocacy, and education; you can catch him in October when he teaches “Love and Lupus” during the “Managing your Lupus” series.
